What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Groomer / Care Associate position at Happie Doggie?
Position: Groomer / Dog Care Associate
Part-time into a possible full-time position. Benefits, employee discount on food/goods and dog training and care services, dog care stipend of $5,500 - $25,000 a year after 1 year of employment.
Opportunity for raise, supplement other work within company as dog care associate, and long term opportunity for profit sharing bonus. Paid vacation time of 10 days up to 6 weeks yearly with long-term employment. Paid continued education with long term employment. Bring your dog to work with you for free.
We are seeking a conscious and kind groomer who uses a positive reinforcement approach to communicating with dogs, aligns with our mission and values at Happie Doggie to nurture dogs overall wellness, and is eager to make an impact on our community by joining a well established and growing company where contribution is appreciated and felt in a positive ripple effect.
The ideal candidate will be eager to dedicate their work to learning animal behavior/wellness deeper, remaining a student of life and continuing education, and has a desire to grow with Happie Doggie.
While our grooming spa is brand new, we have an already established clientele of over 120 clients with high demand for grooming, and candidates will be given space to bring in their current book of business as well.
Any hours not grooming, on-site and off site work will be offered for more hours while your grooming calendar fills up in time between clients coming in store and care/walks with dogs in our group. We believe in everyone on our team getting the opportunity to start their day with a walk for mental and physical wellbeing, or take breaks to go for a walk/outside and get fresh air throughout the day.
Happie Doggie has been around for 8 years and was started out of the pure passion of approaching training and care from an integrative/holistic approach to touch the souls of dogs, and transform energy within a household to help families live harmonious lives with peace of mind and joy.
Happie Doggie is owned by multi-certified trainer, Dog Nutritionist, and Integrative Health Counselor, Stephanie Gilronan. On completion of training, ongoing maintenance training and care services are offered for long term support to our client community, who also come in for their food and grooming services regularly. Dogs apart of our other services often request bathing service in addition to full service grooms.
In our mostly indoor human world, we've created a safe space to get dogs out in nature daily in a structured way, like they were biologically designed to do! Our dogs are calmer, families happier, and life better because of the maintenance training, mental health nourishment, low stress grooming environment, and ongoing care services we provide for our community. Dogs need to tend to their mental health and Integrative Health just like humans do, and we provide the space to make this happen within Happie Doggie.
We are looking for leaders who will add positive energy and make our community a better place because of your presence. Our groomer is coming into a community of well established clients that we service in numerous ways all under one roof.
Our grooming services are provided in a calm, earthy environment with large windows letting in natural light, with a maximum of 2 dogs being helped at once between 1 bath tub and 1 table.
