HAPPIER is building a community for creators with the help of creators! We are looking for energetic, passionate, and professional Prep Cooks to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up kitchen stations. Prep Cook's duties will consist of assisting the line cooks, executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our members' and guests' satisfaction. We are seeking exceptional individuals who provide a luxurious guest experience- prep cooks with a background in fine dining venues.

These are FT positions for Happier Grocery, and you must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Create HAPPIER experience for all guests, members, and coworkers
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Answer, report, and follow the executive and sous chef’s instructions
- Clean up the station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Maintain a professional and polished appearance and demeanor at all times
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Participate in executing on-site events as needed
- Complete assigned side work
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements:
- Proven 1-2 years of cooking experience, including experience as a Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Demonstrate a friendly, high-energy personality with a positive and team-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Able to handle multiple tasks and works well in an environment with time constraints
- Able to handle last-minute changes
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy objects
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the work area and property
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards

The base pay range for this position is an hourly range of $22.00 - $24.00 USD per hour. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
