Accounts Payable (AP) Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager with 5 years of experience in property management accounting to oversee the AP functions for our real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vendor payments, invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Experience with MRI accounting software is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice approvals, payment processing, and vendor management.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of invoices and payments in MRI.
- Manage bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and reporting for AP transactions.
- Implement AP best practices, improving efficiency and workflow automation.
- Assist in budgeting and cash flow management by tracking expenses and forecasting payables.
- Conduct audit preparation by maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and accounting teams to resolve payment discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in accounts payable within property management or real estate.
- 2 years of MRI software experience required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, invoice processing, and financial reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial reporting tools.
