What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Care / Kennel Attendant position at Happy Dog Pet Resort?
We are seeking a Dog Lover who can learn what we do and do it well! Our new team member:
* LOVES dogs and enjoys interacting with them. Our dogs come to daycare to have fun so a fun chaperone is key.
* Is VERY comfortable / confident with dogs & their behaviors.
We work with groups of dogs of all sizes and personalities, all being dog friendly & people friendly. It is our responsibility to be focused on all of the happenings within our play yards; i.e..supervising play, interrupting poor behavior & redirecting; recognizing a shy pup & helping he/she feel like part of the pack, etc., as well, maintaining sanitary conditions outdoors & within the kennel. Our job is to be sure dog daycare is enjoyed by all within a safe, sanitary and structured environment.
Yes, working with animals is FUN, but it is also plenty of work to keep one step ahead of a group of energetic pups! Having a confident knowledge of dog behavior and body language is a must for this position.
In this role you will learn all aspects of our daily operations: supervising a play yard, meal preparation, administrative procedures, greeting our pup parents at drop off & pickup; cleaning protocols, etc.

* Convey excellent communication & listening skills; necessary for daily tasks; task delegation & interactions with pup parents & team.

* Be flexible in work schedule based on the needs of the business.
