Duties
- Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments in a safe and controlled manner.
- Ensure that all dogs are properly leashed and monitored during walks.
- Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a clean environment by picking up after the dogs during walks.
- Monitor each dog's health and well-being, reporting any issues to the owner or management.
- Assist with other animal care tasks as needed, including pet sitting or grooming when required.
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, fostering trust and building relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dog handling, animal care, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (e.g., lifting large dog crates).
- Experience as a veterinary assistant or in a kennel environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with equine care can be an advantage for candidates working in diverse animal settings.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their safety and happiness is essential.
