Job Summary
Happy Haven is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Weekend Relief House Mom to provide support and care for children in our residential program. This role is essential in creating a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring the well-being of the children during weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in childcare, behavior management, and crisis intervention, contributing to the overall development and stability of the children in our care.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and personal growth.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary, addressing conflicts or behavioral issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and files related to children's progress and incidents.
- Collaborate with social workers and other staff members to support children's emotional and behavioral health needs.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages open communication and trust among children.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss individual child needs and program improvements.
Skills
- Strong background in childcare with a focus on behavioral health.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
- Experience in supervising children in a group setting, ensuring their safety at all times.
