We are the management group behind Happy Camper, Homeslice, and Paradise Park restaurants. Many of our employees have been with the company from the first installment of the brand, Homeslice. Currently, we are looking for additional team members who would like to develop their careers within the hospitality industry.
The ideal candidate wants something more than a cubical who can enjoy their work environment and the people they work with. With a restaurant group expanding as rapidly as we have, we need someone who is self-motivated and willing to take the initiative.
Job Summary
This position will require a highly organized, and independent individual working with various vendors daily. High attention to detail is a must as vendors will be self-submitting invoices that require the AP Specialist to partner with Operations to ensure accurate reporting. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager with an indirect report to the Director of Finance as needed. With the Accounting Manager, the AP Specialist strives to provide exemplary service to internal and external partners while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Duties And Responsibilities
The position is considered to be sedentary, and no unusual physical requirements are necessary to perform daily tasks. Position requires an extended period of sitting, with much of the work done at a computer workstation. Stooping and/or bending may be required to perform routine clerical tasks, such as filing.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinate with vendors on invoicing issues, oversee payment of vendors, and review and audit invoicing
- Maintain vendor records, including contracts for services and paid items
- Ensures vendor credits are received and applied in a timely manner, identifies discount opportunities, and issues stop-payment orders as needed
- Review credit card expense reports and petty cash replenishments requests for accuracy
- Assist in coding and reviewing invoices and expense reports within the accounting software
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions
- Assist with the preparation of annual 1099s
- Assist with bank deposits
- Other related duties as assigned
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized and able to work independently and accurately under general supervision
- Analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, able to respond to changing priorities
- Able to effectively manage internal and external communications
- Knowledge of intermediate Microsoft Office programs
- Able to work at a computer up to 80% of the time; ability to utilize general office equipment
- Decision Making and Problem Solving: Able to identify and analyze program and system problems while offering alternative solutions. Responds well to feedback and takes appropriate actions
- Professionalism: Expresses willingness, dedication, and interest regarding position responsibilities, side projects, support of organizational goals
- Time Management and Initiative: Works with minimal supervision and effectively completes tasks when direction is given
- BA in finance, accounting, or related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience in Account Payable
- One year or more experience in accounting or related field
- Experience in Toast POS and/or restaurant accounting software Restaurant 365 desired but not required
