Position Overview:
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting medical staff and ensuring efficient operations within our healthcare facility. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to facilitate the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures as needed
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and requests professionally
- Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and securely
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists or other healthcare facilities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols
- Sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with back-office operations in a hospital, urgent care, or similar setting
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, X-Ray procedures, and coding practices
- Experience in emergency medicine or trauma center settings is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in medical-surgical procedures
- Familiarity with Level I or Level II Trauma Centers
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
