Pay : $19 - $21 an hour

Job Description : As a Community-Based DSP, you will play a pivotal role in providing a positive and inclusive environment for our participants. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with adults with diverse abilities in their communities, helping them lead fulfilling lives. Must have a valid driver's license and car.

Responsibilities :

Community Engagement : Facilitate engaging activities, outings, and experiences that promote social interaction, skill development, and personal growth within the community.

Personalized Support : Provide one-on-one assistance to participants with daily living activities, including but not limited to meal preparation, medication management, and personal care.

Health and Safety : Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times, including responding to medical emergencies and following all safety protocols.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of participant progress, behavior, and individualized goals as required by regulatory standards.

Advocacy : Act as an advocate for participants, ensuring their voices are heard and their choices are respected in all aspects of their lives.

Communication : Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care and support.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).

Prior experience working with adults with diverse abilities is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compassion, patience, and a commitment to the well-being of others.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
