Locations: Location 1: Happy Maryann Day School - Fresh Meadows – 71-66 Parsons Blvd, Fresh Meadows, NY 11365 Location 2: Happy Maryann Day School - Flushing – 132-18 41st Avenue, Flushing, NY 11355 About Us: Happy Maryann is a nurturing and innovative early childhood education center committed to providing the highest quality care and education for children 2- 5 years old.

Hiring Criteria (must meet at least one of the following):

1. Associate's Degree in Early Childhood education (with a study plan pursuing a bachelor's with a minimum of 6 credits per semester)

2. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a * related field of study and validcertification issued by the State Education Department.

3. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a *related field of study and two years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a preschool program. *Related Fields of Study • Elementary Education• Nursery to 6th Grade Elementary Education• Special Education• Students With Disabilities, Birth to 2nd Grade• Students With Disabilities, 1st to 6th Grade• Child Psychology*• Child Development*• General Education**These fields of study are required to be accompanied by 12 creditsspecific to Early Childhood Education.

Overview:As a 2k Lead Teacher at Happy Maryann, you will play a vital role in shaping the earlydevelopment and education of our youngest learners. You will create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment in which children can grow and thrive, while fostering their cognitive, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implementage-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development in areas such as language, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills
• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported
• Lead daily classroom routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions, while maintaining a structured yet flexible schedule
• Observe and assess children's progress, interests, and needs, and use this information to individualize instruction and support for each child
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians about their child's growth, development, and achievements, fostering positive partnerships andinvolvement in their child's learning journey
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a cohesive andcoordinated approach to curriculum planning, classroom management, and child supervision
• Supervise and support assistant teachers and classroom aides, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's attendance, development assessments, and other pertinent information, adhering to DOHMH program policies and regulatory requirements

• Ensure compliance with all DOHMH health, safety, and licensing standards,including maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment and following proper procedures for emergency preparedness and incident reporting
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and enhance skills and knowledge
• 2k salary based on credentials
