Description
The Pack Leader position attends to all areas of care for the dogs that are boarding and attending daycare; providing excellent customer service to clients both in person and on the telephone; and maintaining and cleaning kennel areas, reception, lobby area, and the play yards. The Pack Leader will supervise dog play groups and manage and maintain dogs in a safe and humane way.
Areas of Responsibility
- Assess behavior and manage play groups based on the dog's size, play style, behavior, and other relevant factors
- Provide customer service to clients in person and on the telephone
- Provide care, including feeding and medications, for dogs including those with special needs
- Manage boarding schedule
- Clean and maintain kennels
- Clean and maintain lobby and reception area
- Clean and maintain play yards
Requirements
- Must be reliable and have dependable transportation
- Must be able to work 30 - 40 hours per week (Full Time)
- Must be able to work at least one weekend day
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work outside in any type of weather
- Must be able to clean up bodily fluids such as fecal matter, urine, and vomit
- Must be able to manage groups of dogs including ability to break up dog fights and scuffles, if needed
- Knowledge of dog behavior
- Previous experience in animal/dog care
Preferred Experience
- Provide medications, injections, and other requirements for special needs dogs
- Knowledge of dog first aid and CPR
- Previous dog training experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
