What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian position at Happy Tails Animal Hospital?
Happy Tails Animal Hospital needs an additional Associate Veterinarian to join the family! We are confident that after learning more about us, you will see what a fantastic, rewarding opportunity the role can be for your career.
Practice Highlights
● The clinical team you will join is highly experienced and work synergistically together to provide the best care for our patients. Dr. Diane Hodges (NC State), Dr. Hani Battah (Baghdad University), and Dr. Valerie Jordan (Tennessee) are supported by 7 technicians, 3 assistants, and 4 receptionists! The high ratio of support team members relative to doctors ensures and supports the ability to provide high quality and continuity of care for our patients and clients.
● Our fast-growing practice is independently owned by Diane Hodges, and has been a part of the local veterinary community since 2015.
● Our state-of-the-art, 5000 sq. ft. hospital underwent construction for an addition to expand the space and completely redesign the existing interior in 2022. The hospital features ample treatment space with a dedicated surgery recovery room and an impressive list of modern equipment. A niche that we fill in the community is that Dr. Battah offers advanced dental procedures from referring local veterinarians.
● The Happy Tails staff prides itself on possessing an upbeat, family-like fun culture. We love what we do, enjoy coming to work each day, and know you will too!
"I’ve never worked with a group of harder-working people who love the medicine, love to learn, and love helping pet owners." - Diane Hodges, DVM
About the Opportunity
- We are looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian as an additional doctor for the Happy Tails team. This is not due to a departing DVM; it is due to our steady, continued growth. For the right applicant that sees HTAH as their new home, and whom we see as a good fit for our team, we will be highly competitive on compensation. The position is eligible for our standard benefits package, all the details of which we will be excited to discuss with you!
“It’s a joy to come to work everyday. We have fun and it feels like I’m part of a team that not only cares about the pets but also each other” - Maddison, Veterinary Assistant
About You
- You are a practicing veterinarian, licensed, and in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania! Additionally, you are committed to practicing high-quality, evidence based medicine, and consider yourself a lifetime learner. If you have specific clinical interests, that is wonderful; we are always looking to expand the spectrum of services the hospital is able to offer to our clients.
- You are patient with pet owners, and generally have a sunny disposition in the exam room and treatment areas. Our team is collaborative, so if you naturally like to teach others, that is excellent too.
