Job Title: Caregiver – In-Home Support – $16/hr – Pocatello, ID
About the Role:
Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide high-quality, non-medical in-home care to clients in the Pocatello area. Our caregivers support elderly individuals and those with disabilities to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Whether you have experience or are new to the field, if you’re caring and responsible, we want to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities:
As a caregiver, your day may include the following:
- Personal care assistance, including help with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
- Companionship, offering emotional support, engaging in conversation, and promoting mental wellness
- Meal preparation, including planning and cooking simple, nutritious meals and assisting with feeding when needed
- Light housekeeping, such as laundry, sweeping, dishes, and general tidying of the client’s living space
- Medication reminders to ensure clients stay on track with prescribed treatments (no administration of medication)
- Mobility support, including help with walking, transfers from bed or chair, and safe use of mobility aids
- Transportation assistance, including driving clients to medical appointments, errands, or social outings when necessary
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Friendly, patient, and respectful demeanor
- Ability to follow care plans, communicate clearly, and maintain professional boundaries
- Prior caregiving experience is a plus but not required—we welcome those with a heart for service
Position Details:
- Pay: $16 per hour
- Location: Pocatello, ID and surrounding areas
- Shifts: Flexible options available – full-time, part-time, days, evenings, and weekends
- Job Type: In-home care (non-medical)
- Work Environment: One-on-one with clients in their private homes
- Training: On-the-job guidance and support provided (not a paid training program)
