Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by monitoring their health and reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness in living areas, ensuring a hygienic environment for residents.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing care plans tailored to their specific needs.
- Lift and transfer clients safely as needed, adhering to proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Uphold resident rights by treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or group home settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with patient care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- A background in nursing or related fields can be beneficial for understanding medical needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
