Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time Kitchen Helper (15 hours per week) to assist our culinary team in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our customers. The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for various tasks in the kitchen, including food preparation, cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in food preparation such as chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and portioning ingredients.
2. Wash, peel, and chop fruits and vegetables.
3. Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and slicers.
4. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes.
5. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
6. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
7. Dispose of waste properly.
8. Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but not required.
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Ability to work well in a team.
5. Willingness to learn and take direction.
6. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
7. Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.
