Summary
As a key member of our business development efforts, the Small Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and nurturing relationships with small businesses within our community. They will work closely with the VP/Branch Administration Officer to develop training for our Branch Managers to help them develop relationships with the small business community within their respective markets. The Small Business Development Officer will play a vital role in expanding our business portfolio and ensuring the overall growth and success of Har-co Credit Union.
Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential small business clients to expand the credit union’s business portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new business clients, ensuring their financial needs are met and providing exceptional service.
- Work closely with internal teams, including lending, operations, and marketing, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to small business clients.
- Attend community events, business forums, and networking functions to promote Har-co Credit Union and establish a strong presence within the local business community.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, including key performance indicators and achievements, for management review.
- Assist in the development of a small business relationship strategy.
- Work with Branch Managers through introductions to small businesses in their respective markets.
- Assist in training our Branch Managers to support businesses within their respective markets and deliver solutions to members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field or commensurate experience.
- Proven experience in small business development, preferably within the financial industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Pay and Benefits: This is a full-time exempt position with an annual salary range of $65,000 to $70,000 with the possibility of an annual bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, voluntary short-term disability insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off based on years of service, and a 401(k) plan with employer match available.
