What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Home Administrator position at Haralson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
Haralson Nursing and Rehab is seeking a professional Administrator who is Licensed in the state of Georgia.
The Administrator will direct the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current, Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the long-term care facility to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times. Successful candidates will have great communication skills and excellent analytical skills, as well as well-developed interpersonal skills to deal with a wide range of personalities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan daily operations of the long-term and skilled nursing facility.
- Comply with Residents’ Rights and facility policies and procedures.
- Coordinate medical care for patients
- Strive to improve efficiency in the delivery of healthcare services to patients
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of competent department directors, supervisors, consultants, and other assisting personnel.
- Train new hires on facilities duties and procedures
- Create and coordinate work schedules for the employees
- Review facility’s policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and make changes as necessary to assure continued compliance with current regulations.
- Assure that the residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints, are well established and maintained at all times.
- Manage the nursing home budget.
- Keep patient records for all residents.
- Make daily routine inspections of the facility to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.
- Maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike.
Requirements:
- Current/active Georgia Nursing Home Administrator license.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration or health related degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Supervisor role at Skilled Nursing Facility is required.
- Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing facility administration.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decision when circumstances permit such action.
- Must be able to read and interpret financial records, reports etc.
