Responsibilities

• Draft and track progress of annual goals for the After School Program.
• Ensure the health, quality and safety of the ASP. Propose creative and efficient solutions to challenges.
• Administer annual student registration according to priority system. Throughout the school year, seek to fill open spots in the ASP with waiting list students.
• Work with the Academic Support Director to recruit volunteers to serve in the ASP. Orient, train and supervise volunteers.
• Ensure records are kept of students who eat the program snack.
• Orient and train ASP workers regarding procedures and expectations.
• Meet with ASP workers for coordination, coaching, prayer at least every two weeks. Facilitate communication and shared procedures and expectations.
• Observe ASP classrooms regularly and provide feedback to staff.
• Evaluate ASP workers annually.
• Work with the Academic Support Director to hire quality staff to work in the ASP.
• Ensure staff in the program comply with ODE licensure requirements.
• Sign every other week timesheets for ASP workers.
• Oversee student discipline in the program.
• Facilitate communication between classroom teachers and ASP workers to ensure that students receive needed academic intervention in the ASP.

Requirements

• Minimum Education & Experience: This person has a minimum Bachelor’s degree. Experience with children is a requirement.
• Gifts: This person is gifted with leadership and administrative skill – planning, organization and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. This person is also highly relational and able to relate well with youth and adults.
• Character: This person satisfies or is actively working toward the biblical requirement for deacons in 1 Timothy 3
• This person demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity.
