Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and answering any questions about menu items.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in basic math calculations.
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products served.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Stay updated on coffee trends and menu offerings to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus; certification in food handling is desirable.
