What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Engineer position at Harba Solutions Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee building systems to ensure optimal performance, addressing and resolving building-related disruptions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects and systems, ensuring consultants and vendors adhere to compliance standards.
- Utilize engineering expertise to troubleshoot and evaluate the performance of critical infrastructure systems and equipment.
- Assess existing equipment and identify opportunities for upgrades or replacements to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with service vendors and equipment owners to coordinate calibrations, routine maintenance, preventive measures, and necessary modifications.
- Liaise with building management to address all facility-related activities and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–8 years of progressive facilities engineering experience, preferably in mechanical, laboratory, or manufacturing settings.
- Proven experience in facilities engineering within the biotech or pharmaceutical industries.
- Proficient in managing building alarm systems and computerized asset management tools.
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), document control processes, deviation management, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
- Experience with calibration and metrology programs.
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP processing equipment.
- Understanding and practical application of ASTM E2500 standards.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional work environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated with excellent planning and organizational capabilities.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
