General Summary
Oversee construction site operations on a day-to-day basis and ensure that the work is done safely, on time, within budget, and to company, brand, county, state, & federal standards.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, or civil engineering, plus 3 years’ experience or equivalent work experience. OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Ability to understand contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Must understand engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
- Must be familiar with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating.
- Ability to be flexible and work effectively in fast-paced environment. Position requires presence on site when sub-contractors present. This may include evenings and weekends.
- Must be available on-call at all times to address delays, bad weather, or emergencies at the job site.
- Ability to be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
- Good oral and written communication and leadership skills. Must be able to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, and designers, supervisors, and craft workers.
- Must be CPR and First Aid Certified or obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must be OSHA 30 Certified or obtain certification within 60 days of hire
Duties and Responsibilities
- Before site work begins, prepare the size by planning the work to be done and installing temporary office on site.
- Monitor site progress; oversee delivery of materials; inspect & review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
- Ensure deadline for completing work is met. Confer with senor leadership, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress, and cost tracking reports. Submit all change orders.
- Maintain close contact with contractors on site at all times and liaise with architects, surveyors and planners. Ensure all work complies with building regulations, health and safety legislation, and other legal requirements.
- Keep Senior Leadership (Director of Operations, etc.) updated daily (or as assigned).
- First point of contact for members of public and sub-contractors.
- Select, contract, and oversee contractors and subcontractors to complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting, plumbing, etc.
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies on-site.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Site work is conducted in all weather. Safety protective equipment required to OSHA and company standards. Must be able to constantly sit, stand, kneel, and climb on uneven surfaces. Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
