JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE : Cosmetic Laser Technician / Aesthetician
DEPARTMENT : Dermatology
REPORTS TO AND EVALUATED BY : Practice Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION AND SUMMARY : Our Laser Technicians / Aestheticians are responsible for providing services related to skin appearance such as facial and body skin care.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :
1. Performs an array of anti-aging skin treatments including, but not limited to laser treatments, laser hair removal, facials, microdermabrasion, and / or chemical peels
2. Promotes product sales
3. Maintains product / room supply inventory
4. Prepares the room for next patient / client to maintain proper patient flow
5. Maintains patient cancellation list to maximize daily schedule
6. Documents information in the electronic medical record (EHR)
7. Conducts consultations with patients / clients and supports medical providers on cases as needed, within scope of practice
8. Performs other office duties such as checking in patients, helping answer the phones, scheduling appointments, assisting back office staff, and being able to answer questions from walk-ins
9. All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS :
10. State License for Aesthetician
11. State license for Laser Technician.
EXPERIENCE :
12. Previous experience in the medical field is preferred, but not required.
13. Basic knowledge of the use and operation of general office equipment ( computer, phone, copier / fax)
14. Working with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
15. Must be a team player and adaptable.

16. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide great customer service under stressful situations.
17. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner in both verbal and written form.
18. Ability to multitask.
19. Ability to adapt quickly to change.

22. Ability to follow the directions of supervisory personnel.
OSHA JOB CLASSIFICATION :
Category 1-Tasks involve a reasonable potential for exposure. Job responsibilities include "procedures or other job related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues, or a potential for spill or splashes of blood / body fluids".
