Job Description
Job Summary :
Serving as a critical member of the patient care team, the LPN renders clinical care under the direction of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, or Physician Assistants. Depending on the particular specialty, primary duties of this position may include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, phone triage, documenting information in the electronic medical record (EHR), maintaining patient flow, performing / assisting with specialty procedures, IV medication administration, medication management, providing patient education, stocking exam rooms, and verifying that lab, x-ray or procedure reports are available for provider. The LPN also accurately performs required computer functions including but not limited to medication reconciliation, coding of medical and laboratory procedures, order entry and scheduling of appointments.
Requirements :
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing
2. Georgia LPN License
3. Additional certification may be required for some specialties within a specified time of hire
