Job Summary
The Clinical Office Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a variety of clinical and clerical duties necessary for the daily operation of the practice and the delivery of a superior patient experience. These duties include, but are not limited to the scheduling of appointments/procedures, patient registration, patient check-out, medical records, charge entry/billing, referrals, precertification, financial counseling, managing the schedule and staffing assignments of clinical staff, filling in as needed, oversees training of new staff, leads process improvement initiatives, addresses problems and questions with patients, serves as a liaison between front and back office operations, performs clinical duties (patient intake, triage, specialty procedures, medication administration, patient education, etc.), and assists the practice manager with personnel related matters such as annual performance reviews, performance issues, and hiring decisions.

Education
- Medical Office Assistant Certification or LPN License
- MA - High school diploma or GED
- LPN - Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing
- Prefer - minimum of two years of experience as a clinical nurse
- Minimum of two years of previous experience in the medical field.
- One year of previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of the use and operation of general office equipment (computer, phone, copier, fax).
- Basic knowledge of the use and operation of medical office equipment (i.e., EKG, BP, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of computer software applications (Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, etc.)
- Working with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide great customer service in stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate professionally in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner in both verbal and written form.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Ability to work both independently and with physicians, advance practice providers, and co-workers.
- Ability to use and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to follow the direction of physicians and supervisory personnel.
