What are the responsibilities and job description for the Polysomnographic Tech- Sleep Lab 1825 position at Harbin Clinic?
Qualifications:
I. Education
a. Must be enrolled in or have completed the A-Step Self Study Modules or be enrolled in or have completed a CAAHEP accredited sleep technology training program, or Electroneurodiagnostic program, or Respiratory therapy add on track for sleep technology.
b. Must obtain 10 CECs in Sleep per year
c. Must have valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
II. Experience
a. Minimum one year experience with psg and cpap titrations preferred but not required.
General Summary of Duties
Accurately and safely perform polysomnographic procedures on Sleep Center patients.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions
1. Review history, physical, medications, order, and study protocol.
2. Complete and verify documentation.
3. Prepare and calibrate equipment and troubleshoot as necessary.
4. Apply electrodes and sensors according to the International 10-20 system.
5. Perform routine positive airway pressure mask fitting and titration.
6. Conduct artifact-free studies and make adjustments.
7. Implements appropriate interventions including CPAP, Bi-level, and oxygen administration.
8. Assists with Sleep/Wake stages.
9. Cleans equipment according to protocol.
10. Monitors inventory.
