Description
General Function: It is the responsibility of each employee of the Company to understand and promote the Company Mission Statement and Statement of Values while adhering to the Company Code of Conduct. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage all aspects of door and window unit production.
Experience: Three years of experience in woodworking or door and window production is preferred.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Mechanical abilities, proficiency in operating hand and power tools, ability to read a ruler, and solid math and reading skills are required. Solid wood working skills are desired.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Building.
- Checking the order board to determine orders to be built and ship dates; reporting potential problems to supervisor.
- Building the order to the specifications on the order form.
- Identifying the finished product with the job number and name and placing it in the holding area to be delivered.
- Checking off the order as completed and putting it in the finished goods box.
Inventory.
- Helping to unload vendor trucks as necessary.
- Stocking inventory needed to build products to ensure efficient production.
- Notifying supervisor of any inventory that is low or out of stock.
- Conducting monthly inventory counts.
Safety.
- Complying with Company safety policy.
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Reporting any unsafe actions and equipment to the supervisor.
General – As Harbin Lumber Company, Inc. is a group of locations each working individually and as a team, the Millwork Production employee must be a team player and must develop positive working relationships with all location personnel, Outside Sales Representatives, Inside Sales Staff, and other Company employees.
Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting up to 100 pounds will be required on an occasional basis.
Working Conditions: The work is inside work with temperatures ranging from 55 to 90 degrees. Occasional job site visits required.
