Job Overview
As a Business Systems Lead, PLM at Harbinger, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and optimization of manufacturing systems and processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and IT, to design, deploy, and maintain advanced manufacturing systems that support the production of cutting-edge electric vehicles. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and scalability of our manufacturing operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Manufacturing Systems Analysis:
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand manufacturing requirements, process workflows, and system integration needs.
- Analyze existing manufacturing systems and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.
- Evaluate software and hardware solutions for manufacturing and provide recommendations based on their fit with company objectives.
- System Implementation and Deployment:
- Lead the implementation and integration of new manufacturing systems, such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and other Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless deployment and smooth system rollouts.
- Develop and execute detailed implementation plans, including testing, training, and post-implementation support.
- Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously monitor and assess manufacturing systems' performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Propose and implement process enhancements to optimize production efficiency, product quality, and throughput.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles throughout the organization.
- Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for manufacturing teams to ensure they are proficient in using new systems and technologies.
- Provide ongoing technical support to resolve manufacturing system-related issues and inquiries.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-related problems, including system integrations and data connectivity.
- Data Management and Analysis:
- Ensure accurate data collection and maintenance of manufacturing systems to enable real-time production monitoring and reporting.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all manufacturing systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement processes that ensure the production of high-quality electric vehicles.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in implementing and optimizing manufacturing systems in an automotive or electric vehicle manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and other relevant manufacturing software.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from production data.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk assessment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve complex manufacturing system issues.
