Job Duties
- Analyzing product and systems related quality data (Sample Manager); performing root cause analysis to build standard work and train Quality Technicians on test methods, processes, and data analysis techniques
- Coordinating HWI’s plant quality management program and external 3rd party (ISO 9001) certification audit program. Coordination includes planning, scheduling, and monitoring effective execution of the programs
- Preparing certificate of analysis for customer orders and auditing incoming raw material certificate of analysis from vendors to ensure compliance to HWI RMS standards.
- Administering and driving continuous improvement activities while ensuring rework plans are implemented on the shop floor and 5S standards are maintained
- Ensuring facility is in compliance with occupational safety & health regulations, environmental regulations, and corporate safety & health policies and programs
- Conducting facility audits to verify compliance with EHS regulatory and corporate requirements
- Assisting/advising facilities regarding workers’ compensation/accident investigation related issues
- Promoting safety awareness and regularly participates in facility safety activities
- Coordinates/oversees and/or conducts industrial hygiene monitoring and medical surveillance programs
- Preparing monthly safety status reports
- Technical degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Quality, Environmental Health/Safety or a related field preferred
- The EHS and Quality Technician requires four (4) – six (6) of industrial/manufacturing quality assurance and safety experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and LEAN Management principles
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workers’ compensation regulations and practices
- Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and Oracle ERP
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
