Responsibilities
Mission/Job Summary:
Organizes and monitors the quality, palletizing, inventory and shipping of all finished product ensuring smooth and consistent operations. Oversees the receiving and storage of inbound freight operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring finished goods meet customer specification by identifying and recording product non-conformities and recommending and initiating action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensuring inventory accuracy, ordering trucks, preparing deliveries, bills of lading and other shipping documents and forwarding relevant information to sales and accounting on shipment of goods.
- Facilitating resource allocation, production capacity and material to meet sales requirements and proudctivity goals.
- Performing quality observations and identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement to attain key metrics.
- Safety Compliances & SOFI reporting.
- Da ta Recording & monitoring as per process requirement (i.e. ISO / IMS , Calderys Excellence system ,5S,etc.)
Profile/Competencies:
Education, Background, Level Of Experience
- Requires High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Prefers B.S. degree in related field
- Requires four (4) to six (6) years shipping and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires computer operation skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle ERP accounting system.
- Requires experience in working towards Lean production.
- Requires experience leading inventory management planning performance metrics: Raw Material and finished goods inventory levels, customer service levels, cycle count accuracy, On-Time Delivery, Day's on Hand, Physical Inventory, Delivery sales targets.
- Requires strong interpersonal and communciations skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
