What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Therapist - Women's Residential SUD Treatment Program position at Harbor Brand?
Harbor is seeking a Clinical Therapist to join our Women's Residential SUD Treatment team in Toledo!
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
- Requires minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Requires license to practice as a social worker in Ohio (LSW) or Professional Counselor in Ohio (LPC/ Grandfathered in). Prefer licensure in chemical dependency or proven experience and training in treating substance use disorders in addition to MH licensure.
- In lieu of a mental health license, staff may be licensed as a chemical dependency counselor (LCDCIII, LICDC, LICDC-CS) in Ohio.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with a variety of audiences.
- Must be proficient and accurate in computer use.
- Must have good documentation, treatment and assessment skills.
- CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment.
Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties
- Maintains clinical responsibility for individual, family and/or group counseling of clients.
- Develops and maintains therapeutic rapport with individuals and families.
- Provides diagnostic assessments, ASAM documentation, treatment planning and completes necessary updates as required.
- Completes clinical documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor and submits all documentation according to Harbor policy.
- Provides clinical services, including individual and group therapy, to all clients in the program per the frequency identified in individualized treatment plans.
- Provide counseling and education for Individuals, Group settings, and Family sessions.
- Provide Psychiatric Supportive services, including, but not limited to, the following: formulating strength-based ISP, crisis/prevention/intervention, therapeutic support/intervention, and provide education on self-management of symptoms.
- Provides safety planning for at-risk clients.
- Participates in peer consultations, staff meetings, and continuing education.
- Participates in individual and group supervision as indicated by supervisor.
- Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies, and demonstrates continued growth.
- Obtains supervisor’s signature on all Diagnostic Assessments, treatment plans, and other documentation requiring co-signature for licensure.
- Provides effective and efficient management of caseload.
- Demonstrates satisfactory performance on identified outcome measures.
- Participates in agency-wide and departmental clinical research as requested.
- Participates in program development as requested and where possible.
