Duties

- Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Maintain general ledger accounts by posting journal entries and reconciling discrepancies.
- Utilize accounting software, including Sage, to manage financial transactions and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and monitor expenditures.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with accounting software systems, particularly Sage, is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting processes and financial report interpretation.
- Experience with journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records is essential.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is typically required; relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus.
