Classification Non-Exempt Budget Hours 20-25 hours per week
Reporting Relationship Facility Maintenance Coordinator
Ministry Teams Custodial Team, SH Staff and Harbor Churches Staff
Purpose
To help people find their way back to God by ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of ministry at South Harbor
Church and to assist with set-up and tear-down of rooms based on ministry needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the facility in a general state of readiness related to cleanliness.
- Lead and coordinate volunteers to meet the needs of events and uses of the South Harbor Church.
- General custodial duties include cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of carpets, floors, restrooms,
- Emptying and replacement of all trash liners.
- Identify the need for spot cleaning and take action as needed.
- Setup and teardown of facility rooms according to the specifications of room reservations and according to
the time demands of events.
- Schedule HVAC for events and groups meeting in the facility.
- Perform and/or coordinate annual/semi-annual deep cleaning of carpets, tiles, windows, and surfaces.
- Utilize CMMS (eSpace) to track custodial duties.
- Share responsibility for oversight and securing of the facility.
- Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
- Make decisions and respond to emergencies with a non-anxious presence.
- Review and understand cleaning methods.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Work with the Facility Maintenance Coordinator in the maintenance of custodial equipment.
- All other duties as directed by the Facility Maintenance Coordinator.
- Actively participate in South Harbor and Harbor Churches staff meetings.
Requirements
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies
- Ability to understand and apply general cleaning practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Detail oriented
- Dependable
- Ability to follow instructions
