Position Overview
The Assistant Teacher will work under the supervision of the Head Teacher and Center Director to provide a high-quality educational experience for young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a classroom program that meets the educational, social development, and health needs of the group and individual children.
- Lift and carry children as needed, while being physically fit to participate in age-appropriate activities.
- Support children during transition time and be responsible for their supervision.
- Implement The Creative Curriculum and support children with special needs.
- Write six-week and twice-yearly cumulative reports.
Parent Relations
- Foster positive relationships with parents by respecting confidential information.
- Attend and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
- Provide ongoing communication through daily notes, phone calls, and using 'Contact Notes' for staff and parent concerns.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma required.
- Must have experience working with infants aged 3 years to 5 years old.
- Availability between 7am and 6pm, with varying shifts.
