Job Summary
Harbor Grove RV Resort is seeking a full-time General Manager to oversee the daily grand opening and daily operations of a new RV resort in Corbin, KY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experience, managing staff, and meeting revenue goals.
Duties
- Implement strategies to meet and exceed guest satisfaction and revenue goals
- Manage all aspects of resort operations including maintenance, front desk services, bookings, marketing, daily operations, vendor relationships, merchandising, and food service
- Develop and maintain relationships with guests to enhance their experience
- Create, monitor, and manage budgets to ensure financial targets are met
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, legal, food service, and licensing regulations
- Work with owners to develop and maintain written Standard Operating Procedures and assist with opening
- Hiring and training of staff and development of training procedures and programs
- Create weekly schedules for staff and monitor labor costs
- Any and all other items as needed based on needs of the business or at the direction of owners
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality and/or food service management, preferably in a resort, RV resort, hotel, or similar setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent customer service and guest relations skills
- Proficiency in budgeting and revenue management
- Ability to work self-directed with limited oversight
- Strong technology acumen, with experience with cloud-based services, including accounting and booking software, point of sale, inventory management, electronic document storage, as well as VoIP phone service
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and effective communication techniques
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with RV resort management software systems
- Understanding of resort management principles
- Past food service management experience is preferred, but not required
