Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with Harbor Hall, Inc., residential treatment clients, and individuals in SUD recovery.. This role monitors the safety and security of our clients/residents and responds to emergencies as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the activities and responsibilities of the residents on campus and ensure 24-hour House supervision.
- Observe compliance with house rules, report incidents, and communicate all resident issues, inappropriate behaviors, or confrontations in the Pass-down log. The Program Director and Tech Supervisor will always be available to manage any situations that may arise with residents or house emergencies.
- Comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor sign-in and sign-out records, and ensure proper policies and procedures are followed.
- Know the whereabouts of all clients while on duty.
- Comply with Medication Monitoring Directives.
- Administer Psychological data gathering as directed.
- Check in and orient all new clients to Harbor Hall according to policies and procedures.
- Run didactics and log lesson documentation.
- Comply with the recorded documentation standards as directed.
- Extensive training through various applicable platforms.
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent.
- Ability to establish rapport with clients and family members. Must communicate a respectable attitude towards others.
- Must be able to implement House expectations, policies, and procedures with authority.
- Willingness to receive and respond positively to coaching and supervision.
- Experience with clients in the criminal justice system is helpful. Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to navigate basic electronic communication.
- A recovering chemically dependent individual must be in recovery for a minimum of two (2) years and actively working on a program of recovery. You must have up-to-date training for CPR and First Aid Certificates (you must have them before working alone).
