Role :
The Provider Recruiter is responsible for attracting, sourcing, and efficiently hiring qualified healthcare providers who align with Harbor Health Services, Inc.'s mission and values. This role involves managing the full recruitment lifecycle for provider positions, including developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, building relationships with potential candidates, identifying and screening candidates, and ensuring a seamless onboarding process.
Responsibilities :
Recruitment and Sourcing
- Develops and maintains recruitment resources, including job boards, professional associations, community networks, and academic partnerships, to ensure a comprehensive provider recruitment strategy.
- Builds relationships with schools, training programs, and organizations to develop a pipeline of provider candidates.
- Creates and publishes job postings across multiple platforms, aligning with company branding and organizational goals.
- Manages candidates, contracts, and relationships from contingency and retained firms.
- Screens candidates and coordinates interviews for hiring managers.
- Stays informed on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and best practices in healthcare recruitment.
Collaboration and Process Management
Supports the HR team with onboarding and credentialing, expediting salary evaluations and offers for an efficient hiring process.Collaborates with clinical leadership to evaluate and update provider job descriptions.Provides training and guidance to hiring managers on interviewing techniques, assessment methods, and best practices.Data and Reporting
Establishes and maintains tracking systems for key hiring metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and source effectiveness.Analyzes recruitment data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.Reviews retention data and collaborates with HR and leadership to develop strategies for long-term provider engagement.Onboarding and Retention
Coordinates onboarding programs to integrate new providers effectively.Works with HR and leadership to develop and implement provider retention and engagement strategies.Candidate Experience and Employer Branding
Serves as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.Represents Harbor Health Services at job fairs, conferences, and recruitment events as a brand ambassador.Partners with marketing to create recruitment materials and campaigns, leveraging social media and digital strategies to attract top talent.Collaborates with HR and senior leadership to refine and promote the employer value proposition, showcasing the benefits and culture of working at Harbor.Compliance and Efficiency
Ensures recruitment activities comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations.Continuously assesses and improves recruitment processes by leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency.Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a relevant fieldPHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in provider or health care industry recruitment.Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), job boards, and professional social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn)Proven experience in cold calling and conducting outreach to potential candidatesExperience in promoting recruitment efforts by visiting provider offices and building relationships with healthcare professionalsDemonstrated success in sourcing, assessing, and onboarding clinical staffStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsKnowledge of recruitment strategies and sourcing techniques specific to healthcare providersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ATS tools, and data reportingDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentConfidence in approaching new individuals, self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable engaging with providers both on the phone and in-person, and the ability to promote the organization effectivelyExperience with ADP preferredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
