Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of a comprehensive program of rheumatological care for Harbor’s diverse population of members
- Provide comprehensive rheumatologic evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with various autoimmune and inflammatory conditions
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans while considering both clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Participate in care team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies
- Document patient encounters thoroughly and timely in the electronic health record
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and pathways for rheumatologic conditions
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes
- Board certified/board eligible in Rheumatology
- Active Texas medical license or eligible for licensure
- 2 years of clinical experience in Rheumatology preferred
- Experience with value-based care models is highly desired
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to patient education
- Proficiency with electronic health records and digital health tools
- Interest in contributing to the development of innovative care delivery models
