Position Overview
The Production Coordinator position will work within the Operations team to ensure efficient project progress through the pre-construction process, secure necessary building permits, prepare projects to transition from construction phase to warranty, and complete additional documentation activities as required.
Job Responsibilities
• Completing all applications and documentation required to obtain building permits
• Monitoring project progress throughout pre-construction process to ensure jobs
remain on schedule to meet production deadlines
• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with municipal staff members in the communities in which we build
• Set-up job-specific construction schedules using project scheduling software
• Assembling customer walkthrough/orientation packets
• Managing back-end coordination of the customer walkthrough/orientation process through proprietary software application
• Composing routine correspondence using Microsoft Word and Outlook software
• Reporting and documentation activities in support of various Operations Team functions
• Providing back-up coverage for front desk responsibilities as needed
• Cross-training within the Operations Team to provide back-up support for other team members
• Performing other related duties as required or requested by management
Core Competencies/Required Skills and Abilities
• Ability to effectively handle moderately complex questions and issues under minimal direction
• Ability to work within a team, and work with other teams within the company to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Ability to work with Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Attention to detail is an important component of this position
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required
• Knowledge of Buildertrend software is a plus, but not required
Other Requirement (e.g. Travel, Physical Demands)
• Some travel may be required within our geographic market area.
• Employee must own or lease a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license with
insurance coverage.
