Harbor is seeking a Job Development Coordinator who supervises Job Development staff in Cincinnati.
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Education / Experience / Other Requirements :
Requires Associate Degree with 5 years vocational rehabilitation experience or Bachelors degree in human services or related field, plus 2 years vocational rehabilitation experience.
Familiarity with, and desire to work with, the OOD consumers is required.
Must be able to use computer and software to manage and monitor program, and to communicate with staff.
Must be proficient and accurate in computer use, including Microsoft Word.
Must be a team player, honest, self-motivated, and organized.
Must be able to effectively supervise, provide direct services and motivate staff to achieve maximum results.
Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
NCI / CPI Certification required within 90 days of employment.
Must successfully complete a BCI / FBI background check and six exclusionary database checks every 5 years, as required by OOD
Essential Job Competencies / Primary Duties :
Exhibits leadership and team-building skills to promote a cooperative atmosphere, which leads to acceptable / expected level of productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of team members.
Assigns new cases to job developers and notifies funding / referral sources of assignments.
Provides excellent customer service to funding and referral sources by being responsive to inquiries about services and providing regular updates on clients receiving services.
Manages, coordinates, evaluates and supervises all operations within assigned vocational staff and program services.
Provides personnel management functions for all assigned vocational staff including orientation, training, supervision, annual evaluations, involvement in hiring, disciplinary actions, etc. Any disciplinary action involving time off without pay or termination requires prior consultation with the Director, Human Resources.
Assists in innovation, development and implementation of services especially those focused on assisting OOD consumers in obtaining employment.
Participates in staff meetings, serves on committees as appointed, and is actively involved in continuing education and professional organizations as appropriate.
Assists with development and implementation of a program evaluation component; collects, compiles, and interprets data. Submits required reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
Markets products (potential employees, Harbor services) and vocational services to employers.
Provides good employee / employer matches through job analysis and employee interest.
Provides job development, job seeking skills training, and follow along services.
May provide job coaching services as applicable.
Provides job contact information for employer data base and works collaboratively with job development team.
Types documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.
In providing billable services, fulfills or exceeds unit expectations established by Harbor.
Assists with preparing the service for accreditation, license, certification and audits.
Provides consultation and education services to individuals and groups in the community as needed.
Responsible for all vocational services provided by the job development staff of the program.
Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies, and demonstrates continued growth.
Provides backup support to manager in all aspects of the billing process including corrections, rejections, and reviewing documentation
In conjunction with the Program Manager, oversees grant staff and assists with worksite development, recruitment, reporting and documentation.
SPECIAL WORK CONDITIONS
Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and / or weekends.
