Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to act as a trusted consultant for our clients, focusing on designing, implementing, and supporting advanced network solutions. This role will primarily emphasize wireless networking, with voice technology expertise being a strong plus.

Unlike internal IT roles, this position is highly consultative and client-facing, making experience in a reseller or consulting environment a major advantage. Location: Burbank, CA or Ontario, CA surrounding areas

Many of our projects are large and complex and will require extended periods of being onsite at the customer location for successful deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy complex network and wireless solutions for public sector clients.

• Client Consulting & Technical Advisory: Act as a strategic partner to clients, guiding them through solution design, deployment, and support.

• Network Assessments & Troubleshooting: Conduct performance assessments, identify potential issues, and recommend optimization strategies.

• Wi-Fi Services Validation: Perform testing and validation to ensure wireless services meet performance and security standards.

• Technical Leadership & Training: Lead presentations, workshops, and training sessions for clients and internal teams.

• Technology & Industry Trends: Stay ahead of emerging networking technologies and implement best practices to enhance solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Work Experience: 5 years as a Senior Network Engineer (or similar), preferably in a consulting or reseller environment.

• Technical Expertise:

o Strong knowledge of Cisco networking solutions, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, DNAC, data center, and security technologies.

o Wireless Networking: Proficiency in Wi-Fi design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

o Network Protocols & Architecture: Experience with hardware refresh projects, segmentation, and WAN connectivity.

• Certifications: CCNP Enterprise CCNP Security (or CCIE).

• Soft Skills:

Strong customer-facing skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Wireless & Network Certifications:

o CWNA/CWNP (Certified Wireless Network Administrator/Professional).

Voice Technology Experience:

o VoIP, UCaaS, on-premise PBX systems, and Cisco Collaboration certifications.

Enterprise & Data Center Expertise:

o SDA DNA Fabric & Catalyst Center/DNA Center (Installation/Configuration/Troubleshooting).

o Data center design, APIC ACI Fabric, and interoperability between SDA and ACI fabrics.

o WAN design, firewall security, and WLAN controller integration.

o Experience with projects that include construction and or aviation is a big plus!

The Pay Range For This Role Is

$170,000 – 220,00 USD per year (orange county) Dependent on experience
