Marine Technician
We are looking for marine technicians that have a broad experience in the marine industry with a focus and interest in Marine Diesel propulsion, general DC wiring and diagnostics. ABYC and/or NMEA certifications are a plus. Our work involves Yanmar diesel engines, both recreational and commercial application to include sail drives, marine gears and drive lines. VTE and Fischer panda Generators (both diesel engine and electrical backend; troubleshooting, repair, and new installations).
Prerequisites:
- ABYC Certification and/or NMEA certifications are preferred
- Knowledge of marine propulsion principles, marine electrical systems and components
- Broad experience in the marine industry
- Past professional experience as a marine diesel technician and/or mechanical propulsion trade is preferred.
- Installation of marine propulsion engines, drive line alignment and commissioning practice's.
- Troubleshooting and repair of marine engines and general marine DC circuits.
- General maintenance/upkeep of tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
Pay starting at $25 to $40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Our company works ten hours a day four days a week on a staggered schedule to provide service to the area six days a week.
Continued education opportunities via manufacturer specific training, ABYC and NMEA programs available. Provided by the employer for applicants looking to further their knowledge base and expertise. Certain specific training courses are required.
