Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Business Director to lead our organization into its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business management, strategic planning, and community engagement, coupled with a passion for youth sports. This role is pivotal in driving the club’s vision, overseeing operations, and enhancing the overall experience for our players, families, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the club’s strategic vision and goals in alignment with our mission to promote youth soccer. Work closely and support HSC Program Directors.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily standard operational procedures, including but not limited to the creation of business processes, field operations, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure an efficient running of the club.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee financial planning, budgeting and reporting. Examples could include billing, invoicing, collections to secure the club’s financial sustainability.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local schools, community organizations, and soccer associations to promote the club and its values.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and mentor administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Marketing and Outreach: Work collaboratively with Director of Community Development to create marketing strategies that increase club visibility and participation, leveraging social media and community events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field desired. Open to considering candidates with relevant job experience or other qualifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably within a sports or non-profit organization.
- Strong understanding of youth sports programs and community engagement practices.
- Exceptional financial acumen and experience in fundraising and accounting practices.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for youth development and a commitment to promoting the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.
