SUMMARY The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for processing daily customer payments, researching, and resolving customer concerns, participating in team projects, and other duties as assigned. This role requires a high degree of multi-tasking and attention to detail.

Compensation : $22-28.00 per / hr DOE

Essential Job Functions :
Process large customer deposits daily - ACH, checks, EFTs, and credit cards.Communicate with customers on various inquiries including providing missing invoices, discussing past due payments, updating required licenses, and account statuses.Process returned payments accurately.Update and maintain customer card records.Review customer statements and make phone calls for past due amounts.Provide prompt and professional responses to customer requests.Inform direct supervisor of high-risk or concerning customers.Communicate with internal departments to resolve customer balances and other needs.Participate with team members in process improvement and problem resolution.Conduct various research projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Skilled in basic math, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, strong 10-key and keyboarding skills required.Experience with or exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV software is helpful but not required.Excellent aptitude and problem-solving skills.Receptive to instruction and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.Ability to stay organized while multitasking, with strong time management and task prioritizing skills.Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment.Education and Experience :
High School Diploma required; A.A. in business or related classes appreciated but not mandatory.1-3 years of professional experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Accounting is requiredStable work history with consistent, recent employment in an office setting.All final candidates will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
