The Graphic Designer is a key creative force behind marketing materials that bring Harbor brands and customers to life. This position is part of the highly collaborative team (Studio H) which crafts engaging designs for digital, print, product packaging, and event branding. The position requires ability to work in a large, dynamic corporate environment which is creative, supportive, and fast-moving team where designers can take ownership of projects and bring bold ideas to life. Harbor Graphic Design requires key skills in shaping the identity of our brands, supporting local businesses, and be instrumental in highly impactful projects. Examples of recent and completed work will be requested at the interview process. ** This position is hybrid eligible based out of Lacey, WA or Kent, WA within reasonable commuting time for meetings, urgent matters and Harbor events. **
Compensation: $19.23 - $26.44 per hour.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Creative Development & Brand Identity
- Create visual identities for products, campaigns, and corporate initiatives.
- Ensure brand consistency across all materials for Harbor Foods and its subsidiaries.
- Coordinate and design vendor-related design projects, such as promo books and promotional assets.
- Craft visually compelling marketing materials, including digital assets, print collateral, product packaging, and event branding.
Project Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with the marketing team, and other departments to bring projects to life.
- Manage multiple design requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Participate in brainstorming and creative strategy discussions to enhance marketing efforts.
Growth & Innovation
- Stay ahead of design trends and industry best practices to keep our creative work fresh and engaging.
- Stay informed on emerging design technologies, including AI-powered tools, and apply them appropriately to enhance workflow efficiency, ideation, and production speedwith an understanding of how to leverage them ethically and effectively to enhance, not replace, original design work.
- Pitch creative ideas with a thoughtful understanding of why design decisions were made.
Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of design principles (layouts, typography, branding).
- Experience in B2B and B2C marketing design, with a keen eye for consistency.
- Preference for candidates within the food & beverage industries, large company.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
