Harbor is seeking a youth professional with experience providing vocational services to clients (15 years of age and older). Individual will coordinate linkage between employers and clients, supervise job coaches and manage work experiences.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work or closely related behavioral/mental field from an accredited college or university, plus 1 year vocational rehabilitation experience required; or an Associates’ degree plus 3 years vocational rehabilitation experience; or, in lieu of previous requirement, 5 years’ experience providing vocational rehabilitation services (i.e. job development, job coaching) to OOD, ODJFS funding sources.
- Preference will be given to candidate who is licensed in Ohio (LSW or LPC) and/or to the candidate who has experience in vocational rehabilitation with the noted client population.
- Must be proficient and accurate in computer use, including Microsoft Word.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
- Must successfully complete a BCI/FBI background check(s) and six exclusionary database checks every 5 years, as required by OOD.
- Exhibits leadership and team-building to promote a cooperative atmosphere, which leads to acceptable/expected level of productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of team members.
- Provides excellent customer service to funding and referral sources by being responsive to inquiries about services and clients progress.
- Coordinates the summer youth program including intakes, groups, worksites, coaches, transportation arrangements and staffing for Hamilton County.
- Provides personnel management functions for all summer youth staff including hiring decisions, orientation, training, supervision, arranging substitutes, assigning cases, and reviewing documentation.
- Develops and creates materials for summer youth including info sheets, training materials, intake packets
- Maintains database for Summer Youth referrals across all counties served.
- Assists in innovation, development, and implementation of services, especially those focused on assisting youth consumers in obtaining employment.
- Obtains feedback from worksites on youth and staff performance and overall program.
- Assists with development and implementation of a program evaluation component; collects, compiles, and interprets data. Submits required reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Assigns new Pre-ETS cases to appropriate staff and notifies OOD counselor’s of assignments.
- Provides job development and PreETS services and meets all billable service expectations.
- May provide job coaching as needed.
- Types documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.
- Assists with preparing necessary items for accreditation, license, certification and audits.
- Maintains active communication with referral sources, families, and participants on summer youth program
- Ensure follow through with all necessary requirements administered by the funding source.
- Provides consultation and education services to individuals and groups in the community as needed.
- Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
- Assists the client in developing employment opportunities as well as the skills select, obtain, and maintain employment
- Performs community outreach for the purpose of recruitment, client engagement, and necessary support services.
- Develops work sites for assessment services for the Summer Youth program. Performs all other duties as requested by Vocational Manager.
