We develop, manage and advocate for quality, service-enriched housing that is affordable and inclusive, collaborating with communities to cultivate just, equitable and sustainable housing opportunities vital to the health and strength of our region. We are seeking a Senior Development Accountant to play a vital role in supporting our financial strategy with a primary focus on managing and maintaining real estate development related finance and accounting processes and records.
As the Senior Development Accountant, you will help Harborlight Homes by overseeing financial development projects partnering with Senior Leadership to facilitate effective decision-making and optimize real estate project performance. On a regular day, you will ensure cost control, budget management, and financial reporting for real estate acquisitions and construction developments align with company objectives, collaborate with cross-functional teams and conduct financial analysis, oversee ledger activities, and ensure compliance with regulations grant requirements, and funding agreements. In addition, you will monitor and develop projects budgets, forecasts, and financial models strategically aligned to track project process and milestones against financial and operational targets, and support funding processes including loan draw requests, grant tracking, and collaborate with external partners and financial institutions to ensure accuracy and transparency across all projects.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred
- 3 years of development accounting or finance experience, preferably in real estate, construction, or affordable housing development
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (RealPage/Onesite) and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and project financing in a development context
