Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations. This role requires an understanding of dental office procedures, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in various software applications related to dental practice management.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments.
- Manage patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Handle phone inquiries, providing information about services and addressing patient concerns.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Assist with coding for insurance claims and ensure proper documentation review.
- Utilize dental software. Experience with Open Dental is a plus
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in using office software and dental practice management systems (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, ).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation review.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes is beneficial.
