Housekeeper and Laundry

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning, stocking, and maintaining guest rooms and public areas around the hotel facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning guest rooms and public common areas, and stripping rooms of all hotel linens between guests in conformance with cleaning standards established by Hotel Management. This position provides guests with quality service in a timely and friendly manner.

Hours

15-20 hrs per week

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities vary but may include:
Cleans guest rooms.
Cleans and maintains the appearance of the public areas of the Inn.
Signs for keys are placed at the beginning of the shift, and all keys are returned at the end of the shift.
Complete all duties following quality and inventory standards; complete daily housekeeping sheet accurately as required. Ensures all department paperwork is completed in a legible and readable condition.
Delivers service items to guest rooms upon requests from the front desk.
Reports unusual conditions and notifies management and/or maintenance of the need for repairs.
Handles lost and found items per department procedures.
Follows safety policies and guidelines of the department, Company, State or Federal authorities.
Utilizes safety equipment as required.
