Marine Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in servicing marine vessels. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various marine systems, ensuring the safety and performance of watercraft. The Marine Technician will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on marine vessels.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
• Fabricate and weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
• Utilize schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Operate tools such as calipers for precise measurements during repairs.
• Solder electrical connections and components as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repairs and services performed.
• Assist in heavy lifting of equipment and parts during repair processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in the marine industry is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Experience with sheet metal work is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact effectively with clients.
• Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in marine repair work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
