We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Event Staff to assist in delivering exceptional experiences at our events. As a part of the Harbour Trees Event Staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the event runs smoothly and attendees have a positive experience. Your responsibilities will include setting up event spaces, assisting with guest services, managing crowd control, and supporting the event team in various roles. Key Responsibilities:
- Event Setup and Breakdown:
- Assist with the physical setup of event venues, including arranging furniture, setting up equipment, and ensuring all areas are properly prepared.
- Help with event teardown, ensuring all materials, equipment, and supplies are properly packed up and the venue is left clean and organized.
- Guest Assistance:
- Greet and assist event attendees with check-in and registration processes.
- Provide information to guests, answer questions, and direct them to event areas.
- Ensure guests have a positive and seamless experience during the event by addressing any concerns promptly.
- Crowd Management:
- Assist with controlling crowds and ensuring guest flow in event spaces.
- Monitor event areas for safety and help enforce venue rules and regulations.
- Provide support in managing queues, ensuring they move efficiently.
- Event Support:
- Assist in managing event materials, such as handouts, promotional items, or giveaways.
- Support other event staff with tasks as needed, including working at food and beverage stations, ticketing, or event booths.
- Ensure the event environment is clean and organized throughout the event.
- Post-Event Tasks:
- Help with the breakdown and cleanup of the event, returning the venue to its original state.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event assistance, customer service, or hospitality is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Must be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require.
- Ability to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors.
